Lamora Kabuki Brush Set – Review!

After previously testing and reviewing the 7 piece eyeshadow brush set by Lamora, they invited me to try out their biggest brush set, their Kabuki brush set. I waited with excitement everyday to receive the brushes, knowing how good the quality was from the previous set. Here’s what I had to say about them.

Firstly, the packaging is spot on. Just like the 7 piece set, they come in a nicely branded tube and each brush is wrapped individually. There are 10 brushes in the set, 5 for eye make up application, and another five for facial make up application. When I first used these brushes, I wanted to put them through their paces, so I used them as I was getting ready for a night out.

The first thing I noticed about these brushes was how soft they are, even my flatmate agreed. They are probably the softest brushes I have ever owned. However, don’t be fooled by the silky feel of the bristles, these brushes are dense and fantastic for make up application. Brushes such as the T03 Angled Kabuki is fantastic for contour. It’s wonderfully shaped and the perfect thickness to create a flawless contoured look. I also loved using the T05 Tapered Kabuki to blend concealer into my skin, especially underneath my eyes and on my chin. The point is fantastic for blending into small areas.

The smaller brushes, intended for eye make up application are extremely similar, if identical to the 7 piece brush set (I’ll leave the link below to that review). As expressed before, these brushes make eye make up application a dream. They pick up the perfect amount of product and really make the whole process a breeze. I adore using the S03 Precision Angled to create a fanned out smokey eye. The S03 Precision Tapered could also be used for concealing small areas, such as around the inner corner of the eye and even the highlight your brow bone.

These brushes score an easy 10/10 for me. Not only do they look fantastic, but they’re the perfect weight to hold and such amazing quality. They are also very easy to clean, even with a basic shampoo the product comes off very easily. The brushes do not lock in water after washes either, meaning they dry pretty fast – the most they need is a little squeeze in a towel, and you’re good to go. I have been really excited about these brushes, and I have a strong feeling they are going to become increasingly popular. I look forward to growing my Lamora collection.
