Fleur De Force – The Make-up Collection

The YouTube community is going from strength to strength. ‘Team Internet’ are really starting to take over our day to day lives, from what we read, wear and now what we put on our body and face. With successful campaigns such as Zoella Beauty, Real Techniques leading the way, it didn’t surprise me at all when beautiful blonde, Fleur De Force brought out her own range, especially after the achievement of her book ‘The Glam Guide’.

As a Design student, I can’t help but notice the packaging as one of the most striking features of the collection. I admired the illustrations in her book and was glad to see that the same theme was continued onto her make-up bag and mirror. Sadly, I cannot afford to buy the entire collection, I did however manage to buy a few bits to blog about!

So, I decided to buy both eyeshadow quads, purely for one reason; I couldn’t decide which one! Both palettes boast shimmering and matte shades which can all be blended together or used separately. I have always been scared of using purple eyeshadow, ever since someone thought I had a bruise around my eye many years ago, when in fact, I just didn’t know how to apply make up very well – So buying the purple themed one was a risk I’m glad I took! The shadows themselves are wonderfully pigmented and build nicely – if you want a heavy smokey eye; it can be done, if you want a softer natural eye, that can also be done! These quads are fantastically versatile.

Now for the lip products, the ones I was most excited about! If you’ve read my posts before, you may be aware that I don’t really like to bother with lip products! I always suffer with dry lips, so any product I place on my lips usually ends up clumping or just fading. When Fleur was talking about her glosses, and talking about the moisturising element to them, I was excited to give them a try! The first shade I added to my basket was ‘Written in The Stars’, which is a lovely pinky-nude. These remind me of a less-heavy version of the Rimmel London ‘Apocalips’. They stay incredibly well and also really moisturise the lips! I feel like I’ve finally found my go-to lip product. I also bought another shade, I bought the dark red/berry shade, ‘Starry Starry Night’ as I wanted to try something different. I always go for a nude lip, but was interested in this shade, as it looks amazing on Fleur. I’m not sure I would have the confidence to wear this shade during the day, but for night it would look fantastic with a simple eye look. I LOVE this shade, and I thought I was a ‘swear-by-nude-girl’. Fleur, you’ve changed my ways.

Overall, this little range, from what I have sampled, is fantastic. You can tell it’s been thoughtfully made and that Fleur has put a lot of work into creating these products. They’re currently available on FeelUnique.com, which offer international shipping! You also receive a free cute little mirror when you buy a certain amount of products. Be sure to check it all out if you haven’t already!
