Its October! Finally it’s justifiable to wear fluffy coats, wooly jumpers and ankle boots, aka, all of my faves. There’s something about the beginning of Autumn that I love. I don’t know if its the orange leaves, suspense for Halloween, or the cosiness of being indoors when it’s raining outside. Seeing as it’s the start of a new month, it’s time to share my September favourites!
Since coming back to uni, I’ve become very lazy with skincare; it’s just become one of those things that means ‘another thing making me go to bed later’ or ‘another thing that means I have to wake up earlier’ and being a student, sleep is one of my favourite things to do. To help battle this, I’ve jumped on the Garnier Micellar water hype, and I love it. I soak about four cotton discs in this stuff to remove my make-up at the end of the day. It totally removes make-up and also leaves your skin feeling so cleansed. I like to use a little in the morning before I moisturise too, just to clean my skin a bit more.
The moisturiser I’ve been loving is perhaps the cheapest one I have ever bought. Again, it’s a Garnier product, and I believe it was only 99p off FeelUnique.com. I use this before I put on my make-up in the morning and before I go to bed and it works a treat. It’s definitely a ‘does what it says on the tin’ product. A little goes a long way too and it dries super fast. In fact, I can’t fault it, other than that I need more of this stuff!
In terms of make-up this month, I have been loving the eyeshadows and lip glosses by Fleur De Force. Previous to this post there is a big post where I’ve talked about what I love about her collection – so take a look at that for more info! I adore the formulation of these products, the eyeshadows are the perfect texture and density in colour, while the lip glosses are moisturising and don’t clump on your lips.
When I’m not busy being a student, and writing this blog, I contribute to Charee Magazine, which is re-launching on the 6th of October. The lovely people at Batiste sent over some products for me to trial out for the magazine and I can’t stress how impressed I am with the Frizz Tamer spray as part of the new Batiste Stylist collection. Whenever I brush my hair it seems to just transform into frizz at the ends. I’ve been spraying this on the ends and brushing it out just before I leave my flat, and it works wonders for me. It makes my hair seem sleeker and softer.
So, that’s is for September! Let me know what you guys have been loving on twitter @FromAHart
