L.A. Girl is one of those brands which has finally got it’s voice heard over here in the UK, in my opinion. From what I gather, the brand is a popular, affordable option over in the US and has a fantastic reputation for delivering for both quality and price. I’ve always been curious about the brand, is it any good? Will it replace my love for UK-based affordable bands such as Make-up Revolution?
The first product I’m mentioning is the first one I ever bought, and that is the Pro Conceal H.D. High Definition concealer. (I’m shade porcelain). It took me a while to get used to this, but the formula is so bendable and high coverage you simply cannot fault it for the price. This has been my go-to for a while now. I love the applicator brush which is part of the product’s overall design; it allows you to squeeze and brush strokes onto the face. I love to use this under my eyes especially, and then blend it out with my real techniques sponge. I 100% recommend this with all I have. It’s a great product and a great affordable price.
After falling in love with the concealer I decided to try one of the brand’s liquid foundation. I selected the cheapest one – purely as I didn’t want to spend money on something I wasn’t going to be sure on. This foundation is PERFECT for everyday. It’s light coverage but build-able that’s in-between a matte and a dewy finish. It’s beautifully light and saves me wearing my expensive make up forever foundation everyday.
I’ve wanted to get back into using brow pencils as some days I don’t have the time to use my dip-brow. The pencil I got from L.A. girl has a spoolie on the end which is great for brushes out the hairs. The pencil itself isn’t that pigmented, you have to press on hard for a light colour – but for a natural look – it’s perfect.
The product I was most excited to try was the matte lip. I’ll admit – I ordered the wrong colour, however the formula is great! I haven’ worn it for a full day, but the reviews on this product are all very high praising. It applies glossy and eventually dries matte. It’s a great affordable option and there are plenty of colours to choose from.
Overall, it’s a thumbs up from me. L.A. Girl has my approval!
