As someone who enjoys browsing and purchasing beauty related products, it’s inevitable that I have built up a small collection which is still growing! When it comes to the products I own – I like to only keep products I actually use. I sometimes give things away to friends that don’t work for me – but often I will do my research before my buy and make sure I will get use out of a product before buying it! I have some new items into my life recently, all of which are now here to stay!
I’m planning on writing a post all about when/why/how I fake tan – I have been using the St Tropez in shower tan on and off for a while now. While I haven’t noticed drastic bronze results, my skin is definitely healthier in colour and well moisturised due to the almond oil feature. The only down side of this product is standing in the shower, cold, with tan lotion all over your body for three minutes. It is a super slow three minutes! I’d recommend this if you’re new to tanning or want a subtle, healthy glow. If you want more of a colour, try using an instant tan. I bought mine from Superdrug, and some of the money you spend goes towards Marie Curie – an excellent charity. Here’s the link.
I mentioned this foundation in my most recent favourites, and I still absolutely love it. Avon are a brand I used to never consider when shopping for makeup. Their products are impeccably good for the money and I really suggest you have a browse of their website. You can even have free delivery via your local avon rep. I love to pair this foundation with my Revolution primer. The primer is totally affordable and has a dreamy texture – it does the job for me!
Related to foundation, I was after a lose powder after crushing over the Laura Mercier one. Sadly, that powder isn’t in my budget, and maybe one day I will buy it when I have proper income – however this Maybelline one struck me as a good alternative. Sadly, I cannot compare the two. I can, however, say that the Maybelline powder is good. It sets liquid foundation nicely, but it’s nothing with a ‘wow factor’ – it just does its job.
Speaking of Laura Mercier the final product is probably the one I am most excited about as I have never owned a Laura Mercier product. I went to the counter recently for a makeup lesson which was incredible. I loved the look the artist, Alex, gave me. She used one of their Limited Edition Lip Lacquers on me, in shade ‘Seductive’. She mentioned that it suited me and, without sounding big headed and up myself, I agreed! Lip Lacquers are a gorgeously thick glossy product which are long lasting. This particular one glides on beautiful and provides a flawless finish on the lips, leaving a spectacular pout.
